Recreating Realistic Bauhaus design chair models for "archviz"
🪑 In this stage of modeling furniture for archviz, I decided to create a set of iconic chairs from the Bauhaus movement. For this project, I focused on different chair designs with a common theme, exploring various modeling and texturing techniques. The selected pieces were: Cesca, LCW, Brno, Wassily B3, and Emeco Navy.
🛠️ I used Blender for modeling and also for texturing, complemented by Quixel Mixer to achieve realistic finishes, such as wood and fabric. Among all the chairs, the ones that required the most time, aside from the Cesca (with its distinctive cane webbing), were the Wassily B3 (in black leather) and the LCW (in wood).
-For the Wassily B3, the main challenge was modeling the leather stitching using nodes.
-With the LCW, the biggest difficulty was modeling its curving shapes and texturing the wooden edges.
-As for the Cesca, the most demanding aspect was setting up and modeling the rattan cane webbing, which required a lot of attention to detail.
