Modeling a vikings prop set with a realistic game style
⚔️ On this occasion, I decided to dive into the Viking era setting to create a set of props with a realistic style designed for video games. This project was my first experience using AI tools to assist in the creative process. Basically, I experimented with a web tool called Meshy. This tool transforms text into meshes, including initial texturing. I then imported the results into Blender, applied the textures, and made some adjustments using Blender and Photoshop.
🧐 The set includes a variety of iconic elements made of wood and steel, all decorated with runic inscriptions: a wooden shield, a pair of battle axes, a drinking horn, some spears, a knife, a bow, a sword, and a couple of helmets.
🎨 The main goal of this project was to explore AI-based modeling and texturing techniques. Using AI tools allowed me to significantly speed up the modeling and texturing process. As my first experience with AI, I was impressed by how advanced the ecosystem is. In the near future, I believe collaborating with AI and then manually refining the results will be both possible and likely.
