Recreating the World of Disco Elysium: The "Whirling in Rags" Bar in 3D
🎮 One of the most intriguing and acclaimed video games in recent years is undoubtedly "Disco Elysium." Inspired by its rich narrative and artistic design, I decided to embark on a 3D recreation journey, choosing one of the game's most iconic locations: the "Whirling in Rags" bar.
🛠️ Exclusively using Blender for modeling, the open-source 3D modeling, animation, and rendering software, my intention was to recreate the renowned game setting in a somewhat more realistic manner.
🎨 One of the significant challenges was to capture the unique atmosphere of the game, a blend of melancholy and hope that resonates in every corner of the "Whirling in Rags." The choice of textures and lighting played a crucial role in achieving this. Ultimately, I decided to turn the modeling into a loopable animation.
